Sam and Peyton reached out to me, they had been referred from a couple I had photographed in Peoria, IL. They let me know that they were getting married in Peoria, but had recently moved to Milwaukee. They expressed that they weren’t sure how that would work out for their engagement session, not realizing that I was actually based in Milwaukee! It worked out perfectly! We were able to have their engagement session in Milwaukee where they were temporarily calling home. There were so many beautiful moments throughout their day, some fun small world moments too! It was exciting to get to shoot at the new Venue Chisca! Peyton and Sam had been telling me about how their venue wasn’t even renovated yet when they booked, so they were just trusting that it would turn out! And boy did it, such a gorgeous space!

I love when mom’s help get their daughters ready! Peyton’s mom actually made a small alteration on her dress and then put in earrings that Peyton’s dad got her mom. Such sweet moments!

So this is where the small world moment happened! So I went outside and saw the getaway car. It looked polished up and oh so shiny. My cousin, Matt, who lives in Peoria, owns a detailing company in Peoria. I knew that they are basically the only detailing company for 100+ miles. So I took a pic on my phone and sent it to Matt and asked if Detail Peoria had done this detail. Before he could respond I found out who’s car it was and asked them if they had taken it to Detail Peoria and they said they had! Such a fun small world moment!

UPDATE: Got a message from my aunt! She used to work with Peyton’s dad! Yay for more small world moments!

I can’t get over all these gorgeous spots a few blocks away from Venue Chisca in downtown Peoria! So many pretty spots!
