I had been looking forward to this day for nearly 2 years! When Alex and Bri booked with me we had plenty of time to plan, and the wedding day seemed so far away. But dang did it sneak up quickly! We were able to do their engagement session last fall (and I’m still in love with it!) and that got me even more excited for their wedding day! Their day was, no surprise, gorgeous. Not only was it gorgeous visually, it also had so many beautiful, heartfelt moments. I may or may not have teared up three times during their day (and double that while reliving the day while editing) so you may want to get your tissues ready!
Detail I love: Alex’s tie was actually Bri’s grandfather’s tie. He recently passed away so it was really meaningful. Alex also wore his dad’s cufflinks! Both Alex and Bri clearly tried to incorporate sentimental and meaningful things into their day whenever they could and I love love love it!
Okay, so this was one of my favorite moments of the day. Bri and Alex wanted to do a blind gift exchange before the wedding. Bri explained to me that early on in their relationship Alex got a glass box to keep letters, notes and sentimental things from their relationship. In the last few years it had filled up with meaningful momentos. So Bri gave Alex a note, she asked him where they might keep that, and then gave him the box and said “we needed a bigger box!” BRB just gonna melt into a puddle over here.
It’s fine, not getting emotional again or anything.
I mean……how incredibly gorgeous is she? Absolutely STUN-NING!
I still can’t get over this room. Often when I arrive at a reception location there still are 5-10+ people milling around getting things set up, and it’s extra rare that everything is set up and reception ready. I see a lot of the behind the scenes stuff, so I rarely get that moment of awe when I walk in a reception space. But the Mequon Country Club was on top of it! Everything was set up and ready to go when we got there, there was only one person putting finishing touches on the last couple things. So I did get that jaw drop moment with this one! An absolutely stunning room. Bri and Alex really put together a beautiful wedding day, start to finish. You can tell they put a lot of care and work into every detail!
Loved getting to see Jay + Megan at the wedding! I say it all the time, but it will never stop being true, I love to see past Liller Photo couples at weddings! I love getting to catch up and hear what has been up in their lives!
Guys, I have heard/seen a lot of speeches in the last 7+ years, and I have to say, the speeches this night were top notch. A perfect balance of funny stories and just heartfelt moments.
