Last year I got a text from my brother telling me that he had given my name to one of his coworkers after having a conversation about wedding planning. Both my brother and his coworker were newly engaged and were discussing how overwhelming the start of wedding planning is, how stressful and surprising some of the pricing was. My brother, being the awesome older brother that he is, started to tell James all about how important a wedding photographer is, and how it’s worth the investment, etc. (proud sister moment!) Oh and if any of you are in need of sound or music equipment/need a Sweetwater rep, let me know! I know a guy
I was so pumped to be able to kick off my 2019 wedding season with James and Megan! They are such cool, down to earth, sweet, generous, funny people! Bonus points for it being an excuse to go down and visit my brother for the weekend and explore Fort Wayne a bit!
They had so many personal details included into their day (wedding bands that they traveled to make and hammer out themselves. Favors from a company they fell in love with while celebrating their engagement in Calgary. James’ suit is actually from a company here in Milwaukee, that he discovered when they were up here for their engagement session!)
It was really important to Megan + James that their awesome animals were involved. Mordecai and Jules were ring bearer and flower girl respectively. And they even got married on a farm so that they could include Megan’s horse Pilot in their day! It was the perfect setting for a wedding!
Megan was literally jumping for joy as we were getting set for the first look!
Jules and Mordecai were enticed to make it to the end of the aisle with a Kong filled with peanut butter. It was so funny seeing their two different personalities come out with their very different styles. Jules had a lay down and relax way of going about it. Mordecai had a “excitedly lick it away” approach
Megan + James have a secret handshake (just solidifying that they’re couple goals) and they incorporated it in to their ceremony (oh also, if you didn’t notice, they did Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who read their vows first!)
Can you say “squad goals?”
BRB, I’ll just be over here being obsessed with these two.
Can we just discuss this photo ^^^ I arrived a minute or two behind the bus with the wedding party (I blame being from out of town and not knowing the fastest route) and my awesome associate photographer started shooting and snagged this photo and I’m obsessed!
